Mini Lone Star

Kennt ihr das auch, dass ihr einen Block seht und euch sofort in das Muster verliebt? Mir geht es mit dem Lone Star Muster so. Aber mir gefiel es nicht so gut, dass meist nur ein riesiger Stern auf einem Quilt ist, bis ich diese Anleitung für einen Mini Lone Star entdeckte. Leila ist eine fantastische Näherin, ich aber leider nicht. Deshalb sah mein erster Versuch mit Y-Nähten auch ziemlich schief aus.

Do you know this, when you see a block and instantly fall in love with the pattern? That's the case for me with the Lone Star pattern. What I didn't like that much was that most Lone Star Quilts are a single giant star (yes, I know that's in the name), until I found this tutorial. Leila is a fantastic needlewoman, but I'm not. That's why my first attempt at y-seams were a crooked fail.

 

Also brauchte ich eine einfachere Version. Ich unterteilte die  Hintergrundflächen in Dreiecke, damit ich die Y-Nähte umgehen konnte.

That's why I needed a simpler Version. I divided the background areas into triangles to avoid the y-seams.

So ist es sehr viel einfacher. Ich werde mich die Tage mal an einer Anleitung versuchen.
